🎧 What You’ll Need:
-
A playlist of Christmas songs (mix of classics and new 2025 releases - See below)
-
A speaker or phone to play music
-
Pen & paper or scorecards (optional)
-
A host or someone to control the music
-
Optional: A timer or stopwatch

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Prepare Your Playlist
-
Create a mix of 15–30 Christmas songs, ranging from well-known carols (Jingle Bells, Silent Night) to pop hits (All I Want for Christmas Is You, or new 2025 Christmas releases). See bottom of the article
-
Playlists from Spotify, YouTube, or a Christmas music trivia app work great!
2. Split Into Teams or Play Solo
-
Divide players into teams (great for bigger groups) or have everyone compete individually.
-
Give each team/player a notepad and pen to keep track of their answers (or just shout them out).
3. Play a Short Clip
-
Play just 2–5 seconds of each song.
-
Start from a random part of the track to make it trickier!
4. Guess the Tune!
-
Players shout out or write down their guesses.
-
The first team or person to guess correctly gets a point.
5. Keep Score
-
Keep track of correct answers throughout the game.
-
The player or team with the most points at the end wins a small prize or bragging rights!
🎁 Bonus Variations:
-
Finish the Lyric: Stop the song mid-line and have players sing or say the next words.
-
Humming Round: A player hums a tune, and the rest guess.
-
Theme Rounds: One round of just carols, one of pop hits, one of obscure songs, etc.
🎅 Top Tip:
Include a few brand-new Christmas songs from 2025 to spice things up and surprise even the music pros!
