The advert opens with children joyfully sledging, except for one little boy who stands aside, shivering without a hat. A young girl notices his plight and later, after assisting an elderly woman who has dropped her shopping, is gifted a set of bells with the instruction to "make a wish when the bell rings." During a family dinner, as each member makes whimsical wishes—like turning Brussels sprouts into biscuits—the girl wishes to share her new Lidl woolly hat with the boy she saw earlier.
