Lindsay Lohan’s newest holiday film, Our Little Secret, promises plenty of seasonal drama and romantic tension. In this festive flick, Lohan plays Avery, who ends up in an awkward holiday situation that no one would wish for—a Christmas trip with her ex-boyfriend, Logan, played by Ian Harding (Pretty Little Liars). To make matters worse, their paths cross because their current partners happen to be siblings, forcing them to share a holiday under the same roof.

This is Lohan’s latest collaboration with Netflix, following her roles in Falling for Christmas and Irish Wish. She’s becoming a staple in the holiday rom-com space, and she couldn’t be happier about it. “Being part of holiday movies is so meaningful,” Lohan says. “It’s a time for families to come together, and making something they can enjoy year after year is really special.”

Our Little Secret is written by Hailey DeDominicis and directed by Stephen Herek, known for hits like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Lohan’s character, Avery, may be on another journey of love, but this time around, she gets to flex some new acting muscles. “This role was different because I had to dive more into comedy, which was exciting,” Lohan reveals.

The film’s plot centers on the complicated dynamic between Avery and Logan, two exes who still know each other’s quirks all too well. Harding, who plays Logan, points out how his character is still very much aware of Avery’s habits. “Logan remembers all the little things about her,” he says. “Like how she’s obsessed with snacks and coffee, and how she never seems to realize she’ll be cold in anything below 70 degrees.”

Adding to the family drama is the iconic Kristin Chenoweth, who plays Erica, the matriarch of this dysfunctional holiday gathering. “The tangled family relationships and surprises make this so much fun to play,” Chenoweth teases. Meanwhile, Katie Baker, who plays Erica’s daughter, Cassie, jokes that being compared to Chenoweth has been a dream come true for her.
