Asda has unveiled its lineup of Christmas food and beverages, and we're more than prepared to get excited about the festive season thanks to what the supermarket has prepared. mY mouth is actually watering as I write this.
Let's get straight on to the main Christmas dinner dish. The Double Stuffed Turkey Bale with Pork, Sage, and Festive Fig Stuffing, crowned with Applewood and Cherry Smoked Bacon, is a mouthful in name and flavor that absolutely deserves a spot on your Christmas table.
They're also offering this crowd-pleasing main dish... the Ruby Port Drenched Sirloin? A tender and succulent British steak covered in Port. What's not to like?
Asda's deluxe party snacks have also captured our attention. There's the Lobster and King Prawn Vol Au Vent Selection, Black Tiger Tempura Prawns, and a Smoked Salmon & Beetroot Terrine Wreath. And let's not forget the Mis0 & Yuzu Pulled Pork Bao Bun Kit, Venison Lollipops with Blackberry & Sloe Gin Dip, and Truffle Porcini Mushroom Arancini.
What truly sparks our enthusiasm within this selection are the desserts, particularly the Chocolate & Honeycomb Avalanche. This frozen dessert (convenient for storage before impressing guests) consists of salted caramel semifreddo, filled with salted caramel sauce, milk chocolate shavings, and honeycomb pieces. It's the ultimate alternative dessert for those of us who aren't fans of the traditional Christmas pudding with its alcoholic adornments.
And of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without mince pies now would it? Brand-new for Asda for 2023 is their signature flavour of 'Brown Butter and Spiced Dark Rum'.
This is a truly appetising and exciting start to the festive season. I'm so ready for more of this ?
