A video on popular social media platform TikTok has gone viral after it was posted a few days ago on the first day of Advent. User 'supernoodle2' posted a short video clip telling everyone that they have "been doing it wrong their whole lives".

The video shows him opening no. 24 on the first day and the on-screen text reads "Advent calendars count down to Christmas, not up".
Running a Christmas Countdown website, this would make sense to us, but it's certainly not something we've considered. Many Advent calendars contain something more special on the final day Christmas Eve or on Christmas Day. Should this be on the 1st?
