Netflix is gearing up to deliver another dose of festive magic this December with its brand-new Christmas romantic comedy, My Secret Santa — starring Virgin River’s Alexandra Breckenridge, New Amsterdam’s Ryan Eggold, and Sister, Sister’s Tia Mowry.
Set to premiere on 3 December 2025, the film promises laughter, disguise, and just the right amount of Christmas chaos.

🎁 The Story
My Secret Santa follows Taylor (Alexandra Breckenridge), a recently unemployed single mum struggling to afford elite snowboarding lessons for her daughter. In a moment of festive desperation, Taylor takes an unusual approach — disguising herself as an elderly man named Hugh Mann to land a job as a Santa Claus at a luxury ski resort.
But keeping her secret isn’t easy. When her charming new boss (Ryan Eggold) starts to suspect something is amiss, Taylor finds herself juggling her hidden identity, newfound feelings, and the pressure of making her daughter’s Christmas dreams come true.
With plenty of heart and humour, My Secret Santa delivers a fresh, feel-good spin on the “Christmas disguise” trope — think Mrs. Doubtfire meets The Holiday Calendar.

Alongside Breckenridge, Eggold, and Mowry, the cast includes Madison MacIsaac, Diana Maria Riva, and Dominic Fox. Directed by Mike Rohl (The Princess Switch, Falling for Christmas), the film is penned by Carley Smale and Ron Oliver, both known for their warm, witty festive scripts.
🎬 Behind the Magic
Filmed earlier this year in the snow-covered town of Kamloops, British Columbia, My Secret Santa captures the charm of a true winter wonderland. Breckenridge reportedly spent hours in the makeup chair each day to transform into her convincingly jolly alter ego — complete with beard, prosthetics, and Santa suit.
Netflix describes the film as “a story about love, laughter, and rediscovering yourself at Christmas — even if you have to do it behind a fake beard.”
