Netflix released Best. Christmas. Ever! on 16 November and with a star-studded cast it was expected to be a Christmas all-time classic.
Directed by Mary Lambert and penned by Charles Shyer and Todd Gallicano, "Best Christmas Ever" features an ensemble cast, including Heather Graham (known for "The Hangover" series) as Charlotte Sanders, Brandy (renowned for her role in "Cinderella") as Jackie Jennings, Matt Cedeño (from "Power") as Valentino Jennings, Jason Biggs (a fixture in the "American Pie" franchise) as Rob Sanders, Wyatt Hunt (from "Dopesick") as Grant Sanders, Abby Villasmil (seen in "Haul out the Holly") as Dora Sanders, and Madison Skye Validum (of "Ivy + Bean" fame) as Beatrix Jennings.
Best.Christmas.Ever has received a 1.5 rating on IMDB giving it one of the lowest ratings a Christmas movie has ever received.
The movie is about college friends Jackie and Charlotte. Every year at Christmas, Jackie sends a cocky newsletter to her friend Charlotte. Fate brings Charlotte to Jackie's doorstep. As a result, Charlotte tries to prove that her friend's life is not perfect.
Sadly this movie has not gone down well with viewers with one saying
Samantha Rey "This may have been the most unimaginative christmas movie ever"
Kelly Schug "This movie deserves a 5 - it was that bad"
Viewers also complained about the sexual innuendos in what is meant to be a PG Christmas movie making it not suitable to watch as family.
