Steps:

1. Paint the Popsicle Sticks

  • Start by painting 3 or 4 popsicle sticks green. These will form the structure of the Christmas tree.
  • Allow the paint to dry completely. Alternatively, you can use green markers or pre-colored popsicle sticks if you want to skip the painting step.

2. Form the Tree Shape

  • Lay the popsicle sticks out in the shape of a triangle. Place one stick at the top for the tree’s point, and two at angles to form the sides.
  • Optionally, use a fourth stick horizontally at the bottom to create the base of the tree.
  • Glue the popsicle sticks together at the points where they meet and let the glue dry.

3. Decorate the Tree

  • Once the popsicle stick tree frame is secure, start decorating!
  • Glue small pom-poms, beads, buttons, or sequins onto the tree as "ornaments." You can also use stickers, glitter, or anything else festive.
  • For the star, you can use a small sticker or cut out a star shape from yellow paper. Glue this to the top of the tree.

4. Add the Tree Trunk

  • For the trunk, take a small piece of brown construction paper or use a small section of an unpainted popsicle stick.
  • Glue it to the bottom center of the triangle to complete the tree.

5. Optional: Add String for Hanging

  • If you want to hang your Christmas tree, glue or tape a piece of string or ribbon to the back of the popsicle stick frame. You can also loop it at the top to make an ornament for a tree or decoration for your wall.

6. Let Everything Dry

  • Allow the glue to dry thoroughly before handling the popsicle stick Christmas tree.

7. Display or Gift!

  • Once dry, your Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree is ready to display around your home or gift to someone special for the holidays!
