The iconic cottage featured in the beloved film "The Holiday" was originally known as Honeysuckle Cottage, nestled in Holmbury St Mary, Surrey.
Discovered by filmmakers seeking a typical cozy English cottage, it was later renamed Rosehill Cottage for the movie. Due to logistical constraints, a faithful recreation was painstakingly crafted in a studio, mirroring every detail from the real-life counterpart, including the charming picket fence, country garden, and the rural track where Cameron Diaz's character famously slips.

In 2019, John Bromley and his wife Cressida became the proud owners of this quant cottage after spotting it in a property magazine. Initially unaware of its significance, they were surprised to find people taking photos outside their new home.
Realizing the cottage's popularity, Jon and Cressida made the decision to share their beautiful cottage on Airbnb. Guests can now experience the magic for an average of £295 a night, with bookings stretching from Christmas and New Year to as far as summer 2024.
This rustic retreat in Holmbury St Mary boasts three bedrooms, an AGA stove, underfloor heating, a landscaped garden, and a flagstone-laid terrace, offering delightful views over the Surrey hills.
The owner, Jon expressed his pride in the cottage, sharing stories of satisfied guests, including scientists from Cambridge. Describing it as the perfect getaway in a village with just a pub and no shops, he continues to reside in the cottage while happily accommodating bookings for special occasions such as Christmas, New Year, and local weddings.
