Having recently discovered how to generate an amazing Disney Pixar style Elf On The Shelf featuring your kids movie cover, are you ready to take it to a whole new level?
We recently saw on social media that a lady called Vicky from Northern Ireland, UK (who just happens to run a mouth-watering cakes company called Vicky's Tasy Bakes ) had been inspired by the movie poster idea and decided to go ten steps further. She made a full on Disney Pixar style story book featuring her children that their Elf on the Shelf would arrive with.
Pictured is the surprise that Vicky's children awoke to one morning. I'd imagine their faces were extraordinary and a moment to cherish forever.
We got in touch with Vicky to find out just how she went about producing this wonderful keepsake book.
First of all she use the Bing Create (AI image generation tool) to start generating images. A LOT of patience and fiddling is required (We'll explain the whole process further down) but it's 100% worth it.
Once you have created your images for your story you can create the text that will feature on each page. You can even get an AI tool such as Chat GPT to help with this part too.
Once you have your book you can then get it printed. Vicky went to her local printer shop and printed the pages on A4, then cut to size and used a stapler to bind them. She said this looked good and the images weren't pixelated (considering the images are generated at 1000x1000px).
You can also get your photo book professionally printed with a hard or soft cover. There are many places online that could do this for you such as Snapfish (UK) or Snapfish (USA), Photobox, Vistaprint etc.
Let's walk through every step required to produce your own masterpiece:
Create the front cover

Edit Story in Canva
For this part you'll need to upload each of your AI generated photos to Canva. From there you can use their editing tools to add your text to each page and add the page numbers as required. Remember to stick to the same font and style for each page to give consistency.
Print your photo book
Now for the fun part - printing your book. You can use a photo book printing service such as Snapfish (UK) or Snapfish (USA). You'll want to choose a small(ish) square book as your AI generated images are not a very high resolution.
I suggest an 8x8 inch (20 x 20cm) square book. You can choose from a softback or hardback - the latter will cost more to print.
Make sure you're 100% happy with your artwork and images before printing.
