Looking for a fun, festive craft to make this Christmas? This adorable Santa Castle is the perfect holiday project — made entirely from recycled materials! It’s creative, eco-friendly, and looks magical when finished.

🎁 What You’ll Need:
-
5–7 cardboard tubes (toilet or kitchen roll tubes)
-
Green and red paint
-
White paint or cotton wool for snowy edges
-
Coloured paper or card (red, gold, white)
-
Glue and tape
-
Scissors
-
Small decorations — stickers, sequins, ribbon, mini ornaments
-
Battery tea light or fairy lights (optional for a glowing effect)
-
A small Santa figure (you can draw or craft one yourself!)

🪄 Step-by-Step:
-
Paint the Tubes:
Paint your cardboard tubes green (or mix up festive colours). Let them dry completely before assembling. -
Make the Roofs:
Cut circles from red paper, then slice halfway across each one. Roll them into cone shapes and glue them to form tower roofs. -
Add Windows & Doors:
Cut arched windows and doors from white or gold paper. You can draw candlelight or wreath details for a cozy touch. -
Build the Castle:
Arrange the tubes on a flat piece of cardboard (your base). Glue or tape them in place — taller ones at the back for the towers, shorter ones at the front. -
Decorate:
Add fake snow along the roof edges using cotton wool or paint. Decorate with sequins, stickers, or paper garlands. -
Bring in Santa!
Pop a little Santa figure at the top of the tallest tower — or peeking out of a window — to complete the look. -
Light it Up (Optional):
Place a battery tea light or mini fairy lights behind the windows for a magical glow.
🌟 Display Idea:
Place your Santa Castle on a windowsill or mantelpiece surrounded by tinsel or fairy lights. It looks especially charming at night!
✨ Tip: You can turn this into a full Christmas village by adding snow-covered houses, trees, and reindeer cut-outs around your castle.
