King Charles will keep the Royal Christmas tradition in place as he and his wife, Camila will continue to host Christmas at Sandringham.
Since 1988 this is traditionally where they have gathered on Christmas day throughout the Queen's reign. This will be the first Christmas without the Queen.
King Charles has invited Prince Harry and Meghan to spend the festive holiday with him but it is 'likely they will decline the invitation.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will be there to support him and so will other family members. They will all join the King and Queen Consort on their walk to church on Christmas morning.
This will also be the first year that King Charles will speak on Christmas Day to the Nation. This is a long-standing tradition in which the Queen would address global, national and personal events.
